October 2017,
I wonder what the world would be like if we answered this question honestly every time we were asked this. I think most of us answer this honestly but even I can say I don’t all of the time. We don’t want to burden other people with our problems or feel we’ll bring them down but imagine if we could be honest and vulnerable with each other without fear of judgement, we wouldn’t steer clear of the honest truth. That’s what real friendship and community looks like. I have been a part of a local community (church) and it’s been amazing to get to know people that I wouldn’t normally meet on a daily basis and it’s shown me that even when most look like they have their life together, they too have problems of their own and as a family we lean on each other which seems crazy in this day and age, to rely on total strangers, but over time they become family. In the times where you’re thinking life needs to get better or I need more money remember that you have so much more than others, it’s a daily reminder for myself. It’s not bad to want to improve but always stay grateful and build relationships of substance that will strengthen you in the times of lack. Lastly always remember you have a Father in heaven who knows every desire of your heart and will supply it if you have faith.
