This is a personal blog documenting my journey as a Christian, and I hope it can encourage you wherever you are in life. As many might think, Christianity isn’t just another religion. It’s having a friendship with God. Father God, sent His son Jesus Christ to the world to take our place and die for us. Sin is the reason He came, to defeat it once and for all so we could come back into relationship with Him. For love, He died reunite us to Himself and give us an inheritance for eternity.
Jesus is God, He is fully God and fully man and committed no sin. He was the perfect sacrifice. He died, was buried and rose from death to life in 3 days. He broke the curse that had been on mankind.
Being a Christ follower is more than just a title, it’s an opportunity to be filled with the spirit of God (Holy Spirit) and to let Him guide you. God promises that we will be with Him in heaven if we put our trust in Him as the Lord and saviour of our lives. Jesus is alive today, in His people which are the church (not the building). With God in your heart, you will never walk alone and He will be your strength in times of trouble.
If you want to have God in your life (Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit) ask the Lord to come into your heart, as Lord and saviour. The word of God says, if you declare with your mouth “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart hat God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
It doesn’t have to be a complex prayer, simply – Jesus I believe You died on the cross for our sins, and rose to life on the 3rd day. I believe that you are Lord and I invite you into my heart, as Lord and saviour of my life. Please forgive me of my sins and fill me with your Holy Spirit, Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, you are a new believer in Christ and you are born again!
The bible says in 2 Corinthian 5:17, This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Please try and get access to a bible believing church, online or to visit a church for quiet prayer (in the UK). TBN is also a great channel on Freeview for church services, worship and Christian programmes to help build your faith, (channel number 65). It has helped me personally in my walk with God.
